An ode to the perfect hand cream
This started out as a blog post testing and ranking different hand creams, but that soon became unnecessary as I found the perfect one. And so, this is a love letter to Nécessaire’s The Hand Cream.
Packaged in a minimal, aluminum tube, the kind that holds the shape of each squeeze, it looks chic on a bedside table or dropped in a purse. Not too big that it’s clunky to carry around, not too small that you have to buy a new one every couple of months. Free of fragrance, and so not announcing itself to an office, or plane, or bedroom when applied. Satisfying to slather, not too thin that it feels like you need another coat right away, but not so thick that it’s like scraping paint spackle. Dries quick enough that there’s a short-lived velvety finish that never feels greasy.
Naturally, because all things I fall in love with eventually get discontinued, I will be stocking up with the limited edition set of two. Makes for a perfect gift, too! One for you, one for me.
